Official: Russia invests 87 bln rbl/yr in heating, needs 250 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s annual investment in heat production amount to about 87 billion rubles, while the industry requires a 250 billion ruble spending, according to a presentation of the Energy Ministry presented by Deputy Minister Vyacheslav Kravchenko on Monday.

“We think that 37% of this money (the 250 billion rubles) can be received through higher efficiency,” Kravchenko said.

The investment assessment is based on the 2014 data.

Budget subsidies in the heat producing industry make about 150 billion rubles safe for heating supplies to households, while the need is about 200 billion rubles. The data is based on a 2015 regional survey.

The sustainable rate of facilities renovation is 4% per year, while Russia is able to reequip only 2.7%. Krachenko said that the government has stopped to measure this figure since 2012 because “the figures are depressing.”
